A Toolset for Manipulating Log Files

LogTools provide useful functionality to for securing, processing and forwarding log data. It is a new project by the same folks that brought rsyslog and Adiscon LogAnalyzer. Right now, a tamper-proof store for log data is provided via two tools (logreader and logwriter). Additional tools are planned for the future, so please provide feedback on what you find useful.

LogTools are content and protocol agnostic. So while they are perfect for processing and securing syslog, they are great for everything that is text-based.
